Sunday School
John the Baptist is the patron saint of Sunday School. John the Baptist was born to Zacharia and Elizabeth in answer to their prayers and a promise from God. He grows up to be a prophet, preaching of the coming of the messiah. John the Baptist fulfills Biblical prophecy by recognizing Jesus as the promised Savior and baptizing Him going before the Lord. He is the patron saint of Sunday School because his life is an example for all Christians to follow.

Who We Are |
We have excellent Sunday School teachers. With every week I attend Sunday School, I learn more about God. In addition, every year, there is an Orthodox Vacation Bible School, or OVBS, for our Sunday School. It is held near the end of Summer Vacation at our church and each year, we have a different theme. We learn songs, do arts and crafts, and learn about things in the bible that all represent the theme of that year. I’ve enjoyed going to OVBS and attending Sunday School throughout the years so that I can learn more about God.
